Indeed he is. I worked with a guy a few years ago that was a big Prince fan. I had never heard of Prince before Purple Rain. I was surprised when my friend told me that he had released over 20 albums in his career.

Anybody seen my Raspberry Beret??

Totally agree - very fun and inventive guitarist. My only quibble with his live shows is that he's overfond of medleys. It would be nice to hear him play more songs straight through.
